Welcome to FIC FURY. By creating an account, accessing the platform or participating in a FIC FURY activity, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not create an account or use the platform.
These Terms apply to your use of the FIC FURY website, applications, features, committees, debates and related services.
YOUR ACCOUNT
Some FIC FURY features require you to create an account. You agree to provide information that is accurate and reasonably current when creating and maintaining your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity carried out through your account.
You must not use another person's account, impersonate another participant or create an account for someone else without their permission.
AGE REQUIREMENT
FIC FURY is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older.
By creating an account or using FIC FURY, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.
If you do not meet the minimum age requirement, you must not create an account or participate on the platform.
ENTERING THE FURY
FIC FURY is a fictional debate and character roleplay platform. Participants may enter fictional scenarios, assume assigned roles, debate issues, negotiate with other characters and influence the direction of a scenario.
Participation may involve activities such as speeches, negotiations, proposals, resolutions, amendments, voting and collaborative decision-making.
Individual committees or events may establish additional rules that participants must follow while taking part in that activity.
CHARACTER ROLEPLAY
Character roleplay is a central part of the FIC FURY experience. Participants may portray fictional characters or other assigned roles and are encouraged to engage with the scenario from their character's perspective.
Roleplay does not remove your responsibility to follow these Terms or the rules of the relevant committee.
Remaining in character is encouraged, but harassment, threats, discrimination, abuse or other prohibited conduct is not excused merely because it occurs within a fictional scenario.
COMMUNITY & CONDUCT
FIC FURY works best when participants can debate, disagree and compete while respecting one another.
You agree not to use FIC FURY to:
- Harass, bully, threaten or intimidate another participant.
- Engage in hateful or discriminatory conduct.
- Deliberately disrupt debates, committees or platform activities.
- Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity.
- Abuse, exploit or interfere with platform systems or features.
- Use the platform for unlawful purposes.
Competitive debate, fictional conflict and disagreement are part of FIC FURY. Personal attacks and harmful conduct are not.
YOUR CONTENT & PERMISSION TO USE IT
Participants may create or submit material through FIC FURY, including speeches, position papers, proposals, resolutions, amendments, statements and other debate-related contributions.
You retain ownership of content that you create to the extent that you have ownership rights in that content.
By submitting content to FIC FURY, you give FIC FURY permission to store, reproduce, display, distribute and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, improve and showcase the platform and its activities.
This permission allows FIC FURY to present participant-created material as part of debates, committee records, platform features, results, archives and related FIC FURY experiences.
You should only submit content that you have the right to submit and that does not knowingly violate another person's rights.
FICTIONAL WORLDS & THIRD-PARTY IP
FIC FURY may feature fictional characters, settings, stories, concepts or other material belonging to third-party creators or rights holders.
FIC FURY does not claim ownership of third-party intellectual property merely because such material is referenced, portrayed or incorporated into a fictional debate or roleplay experience.
Participants must respect the intellectual property rights of third parties and should not represent third-party material as their own when they do not have the right to do so.
FIC FURY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The FIC FURY name, brand, logo, website, software, original graphics, original written material and other platform-created content belong to FIC FURY or its respective rights holders unless otherwise stated.
You may use FIC FURY for its intended personal and participation purposes, but you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell or commercially exploit FIC FURY's proprietary material without appropriate permission.
COMMITTEES & EVENTS
FIC FURY may create, modify, postpone, cancel, close or otherwise change committees, debates and events.
Individual committees or events may have specific rules, scenarios, character assignments, procedures or participation requirements in addition to these Terms.
By joining a committee or event, you agree to follow both these Terms and any applicable rules communicated for that activity.
MODERATION & ENFORCEMENT
FIC FURY may review activity on the platform when reasonably necessary to maintain a safe, functional and fair environment.
If you violate these Terms, committee rules or other applicable platform rules, FIC FURY may take appropriate action.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include warnings, removal from a debate, restriction of platform features, suspension or termination of an account.
SERVICE AVAILABILITY
FIC FURY is provided as an evolving platform. Features, functionality, committees and other parts of the service may change over time.
We may temporarily suspend or restrict access when necessary for maintenance, security, technical issues, updates or other operational reasons.
While we work to keep FIC FURY available and functional, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
FREE PLATFORM & FUTURE FEATURES
FIC FURY is currently available to participants without a participation fee.
FIC FURY may introduce paid features, services, events or other offerings in the future. If this happens, applicable pricing and terms will be communicated before a user is charged for such an offering.
ACCOUNT DELETION & TERMINATION
You may choose to stop using FIC FURY and request deletion of your account and associated personal information.
When an account is deleted, personal information associated with the account will be deleted subject to applicable legal or operational requirements.
However, content and records generated through participation on FIC FURY may remain on the platform. This may include debate records, resolutions, amendments, results, certificates, awards, committee history and other content generated as part of the platform experience.
This distinction allows FIC FURY to preserve the integrity and historical record of fictional debates and activities even after an individual account is removed.
FIC FURY may also suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary, including where a user violates these Terms or creates a risk to other participants or the platform.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
FIC FURY may update these Terms as the platform evolves, new features are introduced or circumstances change.
Changes will be reflected on this page along with an updated revision date.
Your continued use of FIC FURY after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to applicable law.
GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES
FIC FURY is intended to be accessible to users around the world. Users are responsible for complying with the laws and regulations that apply to them in their respective location.
If a disagreement arises regarding use of the platform, we encourage participants to contact FIC FURY first so that the matter can be addressed directly where possible.
Any applicable legal rights and obligations will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
